I haven't been reading MM for over a week now, perhaps even two weeks, because of the virus alerts I'm getting. But apparently there's people more courageous as I am, who've been reading in there. They've told me you've written to the organisation about GM's participation. Is it true, is it really you who's posted that?
Wish you'd stop doing things like that. It doesn't help Madeleine, nor anybody else.
Wish you'd stop interfering in people's real life.

Btw any updates on TB's Fraud Investigation? Bank account still frozen?

bank account still frozen . I am sorry if you all want to have a go at me but I am not bothered as I have explained if you look at the website - macmillan and etape caledonia , it says it  is to raise money for macmillan cancer sufferers - also if those entering do not wish to do that then they can nominate a CHARITY of their choice - findmadeleine is NOT  a charity it is a limited company - Gerry is not stupid and can read  - why does he not give the money to missing children charity ?? or any CHARITY ? like it states on the application . by doing this he is now detracting money away from cancer sufferers and charities. He has 360 days a year to organise his own events - not hijack someone elses event - I read about the australian man whos son was abducted and this week he is now cycling round Europe LOOKING for him - with NO help - why is Gerry cycling in Scotland ? have a go all you like but I stick by my guns and say this is morally wrong and quite horrible

I will organise an event whereby I absail down a huge building - if the foundations and ropes can hold my vast weight - or any suggestions you may have - and I will donate money to findmadeleine if Gerry concedes he has made a mistake here - and he donates his money to Macmillan

Good (donation & Fund).

He didn't write he's part of Team McMillan, did he?
Apparently everybody can sign up. People don't even have to raise funds. Unless they become part of  Team McMillan.

Goodafternoon Deborah,

Just to let you know Gerry McCann just won ehm finished the Etape Caledonia race. Fantastic timing, fantastic results.
I just can't wait to read the update on the WEBSITE http://www.findmadeleine.com
from the McCanns non-charitable not-for-profit company Leave no stone unturned, how much money he raised for his missing child Madeleine.

Oh and btw it was all legal and strictly within the rules of this event.. yeah....these are the McCanns..remember!!!!! Do some homework and find out for yourself.

Well done Gerry!

I think you will find it wasnt - go to the entry form and see what it says - for charity - not a limited company - anyway the charity commission will decide on monday

Graeme Obree to take pole in Highland Perthshire bike race

The 'Flying Scotsman' will lead off the 81-mile Etape Caledonia race on saturday.

Graeme Obree to take pole in Highland Perthshire bike race

Flying Scotsman: Graeme Obree

"Flying Scotsman" Graeme Obree is to take the lead in this year's Etape Caledonia Cycle race.

The former individual pursuit world champion will take pole position at the start of the event in Highland Perthshire - leading the 4,500 cyclists on the 81-mile race.

Obree twice broke the world hour record, in July 1993 and April 1994, and was the individual pursuit world champion in 1993 and 1995.

He was known for his unusual riding positions and for the "Old Faithful" bicycle he built. His life and exploits have been dramatised in the film The Flying Scotsman including his challenges with dealing with clinical depression.

Recognition for Graeme Obree’s achievements have grown over the years and subsequently in December 2009, he was inducted into the British Cycling Hall of Fame.

He said: "I can't wait to take part in this year’s Etape Caledonia and I’m especially looking forward to being first past the start line.

"Training so far has been good and I’m very excited about the opportunity to ride in Scotland in what is some of the most stunning scenery in the world.”

Tris Jones, Biking Events Coordinator for Macmillan, said: "We are delighted that Graeme Obree is going to take the lead at the start of this year’s Macmillan Cancer Support Etape Caledonia.

"We have over 2000 fundraisers participating in this year’s event and all of the money they raise will be used to fund our vital cancer services, ensuring we help the two million people in the UK who are currently affected by cancer.

"Graeme is an inspiration to so many cyclists I am sure they will relish the opportunity to take part in the same event as this historic individual."

The event starts and finishes in Pitlochry, with host of attractions for spectators as well as riders.

Jo Dytch, of IMG, said: "We’re hoping Graeme can set some new time records and be back in time to manage the prize giving – we’re sure he can do it!"
